June Favorites 2018

June was an exceptionally busy month, and July promises to be just the same so let’s just pretend this post went up on the 29th.

I did a fair amount of shopping in June so there are quite a few products that I’m in the process of testing out, but today I just want to share what I have been using pretty much every day.

COSMETEA Moisture Black Tea + Hibiscus Jelly Foam Cleanser

I use this in the morning and I have been loving it. It has a really interesting gel paste texture, but when you rub it together in turns into a rich foam, leaving my skin feeling soft and moisturized.

WELCOS Mint Pore Cleansing Foam

Both this cleanser and the one Cosmetea were TJ Maxx finds( what a surprise!). I have been using this at night because that’s when I want a deeper more thorough clean. This has a lovely soft leather, and it smells light of mint, it is meant to target pores and remove sebum.

THE ORDINARY Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution

When I talked about this in my The Ordinary Haul (here) a couple of months ago, I said it reminded me a lot of the PIXI Glow Tonic. I still think it is a lot like it but I haven’t used the Glow Tonic in so long I can’t say for sure.

I have been using this every night as directed, and my skin has been feeling really nice. My only complaint is that if I have any sores on my face the tonic tends to sting.

KIND NATURED Shea & Macadamia Body Lotion

Hello, this is another TJ Maxx find. This lotion smells so yummy and it’s so rich and creamy. It is also 97% natural ingredients.DSC_0129

WET N WIld PhotoFocus Foundation

I did a full review of this foundation(here). I’m such a big fan of this foundation now, it’s definitely in my top four. The coverage is light but buildable to medium. It has a semi-matte finish that feels light and comfortable on the skin.

COTY AIRSPUN Loose Face Powder

I have been using this powder off and on for a couple of years, but I have recently fallen back in love with it. I had bought the wrong color because I didn’t realize that there as color choices, that one really didn’t work well for me. Now that I have the translucent one I have been using it every single day. This works great both for a light dusting for setting your makeup, and it’s fantastic for baking.

PAIR’D BEAUTY Makeup Setting Spray

This is my first Pair’d Beauty product and I’m really interested in trying out more. I have used a handful of setting sprays and this one is definitely my favorite, it soaks in and makes my makeup look smoother and last longer, I haven’t been needing to touch up throughout the day.

This bronzer definitely lives up to its reputation, it smells amazing and it applies smoothly and looks natural. I have had this for awhile now but didn’t really use it that much, I have been using it for a light contour.

MILANI Lipstick in Matte Darling

I wear mostly lipgloss and satin lipsticks but I have been reaching for this pretty pink matte a lot lately. Milani really knows how to make a good lipstick, this matte is comfortable and doesn’t dry out my lips.

STILA Color Balm Lipstick in Sadie

This is such a pretty peachy coral color, perfect for summer. As this is a balm lipstick it’s super comfortable and moisturizing.DSC_0139

That’s it for my beauty favorites this month!

This is the last monthly favorites post I will be posting for awhile, while I do love these I have found that for the past few months my heart hasn’t been in them and they feel more like something I have to and not something I want to, so I have decided to take a break from them.

What have you been loving lately?

  1. Some great favourites for June. Its a shame its the last one but you have to do whats best for you and a break might be just what you need to find the spark again. Hope to see the favourites back one day 🙂

  2. I also bought The Ordinary’s glycolic acid , but I’m not sure if I like it better than the Glow Tonic. I got a lot of stinging initially and it still stings on blemishes, as you mentioned.
I didn’t know the COTY powder had different colours!
I’ve been toying with the idea of buying the Butter Bronzer and your review makes me want to buy it even more.
