I’m back with another Favorites post! I didn’t have a chance to do one in April and that made me sad, but I’m back on track now.
May has seen some discoveries as well as some rediscoveries,
I’ve been really enjoying this scrub it’s a really gentle exfoliator with a creamy base. This is meant to be used twice a week and massaged into the skin for three minutes.
My skin has been feeling really nice lately and I definitely credit this scrub, as well as a mixture of other new products I’ve been using.
I did a full review of this scrub and the Restoring Night Cream a couple of weeks ago(here)
I have been using this every night since I got it and it’s one of the nicest night creams I’ve tried so far. It smells amazing, it’s light and absorbed into the skin really well. I know night creams are supposed to be more intense than day cream, which often leads to them being a little tacky. As I often do my evening routine several hours before I go to bed I don’t like that sticky feeling.
The only problem I have with this is that it’s so small, so I’ll be sad when it’s gone.
I did a review of this and some other lovely products for Fresh Pickins in April (here).
I have been using this salve on my nail regularly this month, and they have been looking and feeling really nice, both my nail and the skin around them seem healthier.
First off I love the smell of this, it has a sweet orange scent. Other than that it’s just a really nice dry shampoo, it does tend to be a bit more powdery then some so I just have to be sure to brush it through thoroughly.
This one is a rediscovery for me. I have been trying out a lot of different concealers lately, but this one is foolproof, it’s high-coverage, easy to blend, and a little goes a long way.
This is actually my mom’s but she wasn’t using it so I adopted it. This highlight is a beautiful pearlescent white that just glows in the prettiest way.
BAREMINERALS Marvelous Moxie Buttercream Lip Gloss
I actually don’t think BareMinerals makes the Marvelous Moxie products anymore, but I’m thinking their Gen Nude lip glosses might just be the reformulated version of them.
I have this gloss in three shades but my favorite right now is Perky Peony. It is a pretty light pink.
I picked this up a couple of weeks ago and I’m loving! It’s the perfect “my lips but better” shade for me and is so soft and comfortable on. I would highly recommend you try these lipsticks out if you get the chance.
That ‘s it for my May beauty favorites, but I do have a couple of random things that I’ve been enjoying this month.
I’ve loved his music for years, but I had stopped listing for a while, probably about a year, but
I recently started up again. In particular two of his newer songs, Hideaway and Symphony.
Matt Belsante’s new album Nice ‘N’ Easy was released in January, but I have only started listening to it within the last couple of months. If you love the classic crooner style you will love this album. You’d Be So Nice To Come To is my favorite song on this album.
The Greatest Showman
We finally got around to watching The Greatest Showman and it surpassed all my expectations, I absolutely loved it. I already want to watch it again, I have had Tightrope going through my head all week.
What have you been loving this month?
Some of these products were sent to me, but that does not alter my opinion.
