So Christmas is what, three days way now? That snuck up on me.
Today I wanted to share my Christmas day makeup look. I’m planning on a fairly simple look but still going a bit extra.
Let’s get right to it!
Starting off with the TRUST FUND BEAUTY Gimme Good Face Primer to create a smooth base and then following with the L.A GIRL Pro. Coverage HD Long Wear Illuminating Foundation in Fair. I want to have a little more coverage than I usually would go for, so I’m opting to apply the foundation with a brush instead of my blending sponge.
Next up are my brows! I will be using my trusty FLOWER Brow Kit and following my brows natural shape I will use the darkest powder and mixing it with the wax to give them more of a defined point, and lightly fill in the rest of my brows the same way but using a lighter hand.
Now for the eyes. as always I’m priming with the TOO FACED Shadow Insurance eyeshadow primer. Using my MAKEUP REVOLUTION Chocolate Vice Palette I used the lightest shade Appeal all over my lids to my brows, then used the shade Treat to sculpt out the crease. Then I used the shimmer shade Habit and pressed it on just the lid until it built up the right amount of color and shimmer, then used the COLOUR POP Super Shock Shadow in Lovely on the inner half of the lid.
Next up I used the L.A GIRL Pro. Conceal HD Concealer to conceal any spots, and along my jaw and forehead. Then under my eyes, I applied the TOO FACED Born This Way Concealer and blend it in with a makeup sponge.
For Contour I used my MILANI Contour & Highlight Stick in Fair/Light I used it in the hollows of my cheeks, under my jaw, on the sides and end of my nose.
I decided to go for a darker blush and settled on the TARTE Amazonian Clay Blush in Blushing Bride, and applied it mainly on my temples and just lightly dusted in on the apples. For Highlighter I used the TOO FACED Candlelight Glow Highlighter in Rosy Glow, on my cheekbones, brow bone, cupid’s bow, and end of my nose.
And to set the whole thing I used the NYX HD Finishing Powder, this is a new powder for me and so far I really like it.
For eyeliner, I wanted to do a flick but opted for black instead of my usual brown liquid liner for that extra touch of drama. I used the STILA Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Liner in Intense Black.
For mascara, I’m going for volume with the MARC JACOBS Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara in Noir.
And last but not least lips. I’m planning on using the TARTE Matte Lip Paint in Rose although I might change my mind and go for a red lip.
Although my photography skills don’t quite do it justice, I absolutely love this look. It’s simple and elegant but ever so slightly festive.
